Holistic Harmony

Natural therapies for horses

Meet Anna

Hi there and welcome to my page. I have been a lifelong lover of all animals particularly horses. During my years as a pony club instructor I started to want to give something back to horses and to help them live happy and useful lives. I could see many horses being sold on due to behavioural issues sometimes ending up in the sales yards if the issues could not be rectified. This started a passion to learn how to understand what was going on with these horses and be able to help them.

I have always had an interest in natural therapies which led me down the path initially as a body worker as I believed that a lot of behavioural issues in horses could be helped if we could alleviate the pain in their bodies, and it was pain causing the bucking etc. This is sometimes the case but not always.

So I started my journey professionally as an Equine therapist in 2012, and started treating horses for pain and movement restrictions. This was very rewarding at first, I had a lot of success with the treatments and the horses seemed to enjoy them, however the more horses I saw the more I started to realise that there was more than just physical issues happening in many horses. A lot of problems seemed to be emotionally related such as anxiety and fear.

I started to feel discouraged that I was unable to achieve what I set out to do, which was helping horses live happy and useful lives.

I am a lover of information and study and always feel I never quite have enough information, and along one of my study journeys I came across the book "The Emotion Code" by Dr Bradley Nelson. The emotion code uses muscle testing to find and release trapped emotions caused by past experiences. I started to do some case studies on horses with some truly mind blowing results. From there I was totally hooked and became a practitioner.

I now feel my treatments are completely holistic being able to treat the horse emotionally, physically and on an energetic level enabling a full body healing, and being able to get to the root cause of physical and behavioural issues.

Horses are true sentient beings and I feel truly grateful to be able to work with them.

Look forward to connecting with you and your horse in the future.
